BHC's purpose is to further the cooperative learning and speaking of the Hebrew language; to promote Hebrew language events and programs; and to facilitate regular Hebrew discussion groups.

The Collaborative also holds biweekly cultural events, such as viewings of Israeli films. It is an ASUC-sponsored student group at UC Berkeley.

A good online Hebrew-English/English-Hebrew dictionary is Milon Morfix. There is also a Hebrew Wikipedia.
Hebrew language and literature courses are offered by the Near Eastern Studies Department.
